The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious accident on State Route 235 in Lakeview Sunday afternoon.
David Cooper, 38, of Lakeview, was driving his Honda Accord on 235 near the Indian Lake Sports Park, when he failed to negotiate a curve, slid off the road sideways through a small grassy area into the parking lot of the Marathon Gas station, and ran over a gas pump.
Alcohol is suspected as a factor in the accident. Test results are pending.
Indian Lake EMS transported Cooper to Lima Memorial Hospital for serious injuries.
He is listed in critical, but stable condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
