An argument turned violent early Friday morning, leading to the arrest of two men in Bellefontaine.

Around 1:30 AM, Bellefontaine Police responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at a home on Carlisle Street.

Upon arrival, officers found two men, Peter Atraszkiewicz, 43, of Botkins, and Kevin Itzep Guox, 32, of Bellefontaine, arguing in the yard.

Officers quickly learned that Atraszkiewicz had brought a firearm into the situation before their arrival.

A minor told police that Atraszkiewicz handed her a firearm during the argument, prompting officers to secure the weapon—a Taurus handgun.

The altercation began when Atraszkiewicz visited his sister, and her boyfriend, Guox, at their apartment.

The sister told police that after drinking two bottles of tequila, a heated argument broke out between the two men, which eventually became physical.

Both men appeared intoxicated when questioned by officers.

Guox said the fight started after Atraszkiewicz asked about family issues.

Atraszkiewicz initially denied having a gun but was later found to have a firearm holster on him.

Both men were arrested and taken to the Logan County Jail.

Guox was charged with disorderly conduct, while Atraszkiewicz faces charges of using weapons while intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
