The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call Saturday night, after a woman was reported unresponsive in a vehicle outside the Family Dollar on North Main Street in DeGraff.

Deputies were dispatched just before 10 PM after an employee saw a woman in a dark blue SUV who was unconscious.

The employee was able to wake the woman, later identified as Ashley Dotson, 38, of Conover, who was reportedly slurring her words.

When they arrived, deputies found Dotson stumbling near her vehicle.

She showed several signs of impairment and then failed field sobriety tests.

Dotson was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence.

A search of her vehicle revealed multiple drug-related items and a substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine.

Dotson submitted to a urine test at the Logan County Jail.

The test was sent to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for further analysis.

At this time, Dotson has been cited for physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence.

The sheriff’s office reports that additional charges may be filed pending lab results.
