According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Ryan Leach, 43, of Bellefontaine, was cited Saturday night after a traffic stop revealed several violations.
Around 10:30 PM, deputies saw Leach’s license plate light was out while he was traveling on Sandusky Street.
When deputies initiated the traffic stop, Leach became upset and began yelling.
He admitted to not having a valid driver’s license and claimed there wasn’t anything illegal in the vehicle.
During a search of his vehicle, deputies found several open alcohol containers, though Leach did not show signs of impairment.
Deputies also found that the license plate did not match the vehicle’s registration, and Leach could not provide any paperwork to prove ownership of the car, even though he claimed he had just bought it.
Leach was cited for driving with a suspended license, using a fake registration, and having open alcohol containers in the vehicle.
His car was towed from the scene.
