The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) will host its annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this Saturday, May 10th.
As part of the nationwide initiative, local letter carriers will collect non-perishable food donations along their mail routes.
Residents are encouraged to leave items such as canned soup, vegetables, meats, pasta, rice, or cereal in a sturdy bag by their mailbox prior to regular mail delivery on Saturday.
Letter carriers will pick up the donations as they deliver mail throughout the day.
Contributions gathered will directly benefit Lutheran Community Services, which has benefited from the local collection for more than 10 years.
If you miss the pickup, you can take items to Lutheran Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at 820 West Sandusky Avenue in Bellefontaine.
Recognized as one of the largest one-day food drives in the country, Stamp Out Hunger remains a vital effort in combating food insecurity and supporting local families.
