Late Sunday night, a traffic stop led to the arrest of Ty Nott, of Lewistown, for operating a vehicle under the influence (OVI) after he was caught speeding on State Route 235.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Nott’s vehicle was traveling 77 mph, in the 55 mph zone.

During the stop, law enforcement noticed open bottles of alcohol in the vehicle.

Nott’s bloodshot eyes further raised suspicion.

He then failed several field sobriety tests.

Nott was arrested for OVI.

The passenger, Ashtan Allen, of Tipp City, also had an open bottle of alcohol, and additional alcoholic beverages were found during a vehicle search.

Nott was transported to the Logan County Jail, where he provided a urine sample for testing.

He was cited for speeding, OVI, and having an open container then was released to a sober driver.

Allen received a summons for an open container violation.

Washington Township Police assisted at the scene.
