An area teen failed to negotiate a curve and struck a stop sign and guide wires Monday afternoon around 4:25, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Andrew Stroud, 16 of Lewistown, was traveling east on 33 when he failed to negotiate a right-hand turn onto North Oak Street. He went off the roadway and struck a stop sign at North Oak and 33, as well as utility pole guide wires and a culvert. The vehicle came to rest on its driver’s side.
Stroud was cited for failure to control.
He sustained no apparent injuries.
The car had disabling damage.
ODOT was contacted regarding the stop sign that was damaged and removed from the ground.
AES was contacted regarding the guide wires from the pole that were struck and hanging loose.
