A Lima woman sustained serious injuries Tuesday evening following a motorcycle crash, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Brittany Schmimmoeller, 35, was riding a 2005 Harley-Davidson southbound on State Route 235, near Township Road 240, when she failed to negotiate a curve.
Her motorcycle veered off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.
Deputies reported that Schmimmoeller was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was ejected from the bike upon impact.
She was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Lima Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
The motorcycle sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
