A new Mexican restaurant specializing in authentic street food is opening on South Main Street in Urbana this Friday.
Orale Taco y Mas, owned by Luis Garcia, will officially celebrate its grand opening at 4 p.m., following a month-long soft opening.
Garcia, who attended the weekly Urbana Lions Club meeting on Wednesday, treated members to a taste of his menu, which he says follows traditional cooking methods from small towns in Mexico, with no shortcuts:
“What sets Orale apart is the focus on street-style authenticity, not Americanized Mexican food,” Garcia said. “Every dish is made with passion to bring real flavors to the community.”
Located at 124 South Main Street in Urbana, Orale Taco y Mas has completed staff training and is fully prepared to welcome the public.
