Benjamin Logan bus driver Jennifer Noble acted quickly after smelling smoke coming from her bus Monday morning.
As Noble was pulling into the school parking lot she could smell smoke.
She quickly evacuated the students off of bus #25.
When she opened the hood bus hood flames could be seen coming from the engine compartment.
Noble grabbed a fire extinguisher and put out the fire.
An investigation found an animal’s nest was lodged under the wiring that ignited the fire.
No students were injured.
When asked about what happened Noble said, “Those are my kids on the bus and my only thought was to get them off the bus immediately.”
She was taken to Urgent Care for observation as she inhaled smoke and fire extinguisher contents.
