Local businesses step up to help Indian Lake EMS

It’s always sweet to see community members helping out other community members.

Recently, two businesses stepped up in a big way to help out the Indian Lake EMS.

With summer officially underway, crews have stayed busy responding to calls and braving the heat, but haven’t had much time to care for their building.

Peak Property Care stopped by the station and cleaned every single window, giving the building a much-needed facelift just after EMS crews were able to power wash the exterior.

“With all the bugs around the lake, the building collects a lot of grime, and this really helped us keep our station looking great,” EMS officials shared in a statement.

But the support didn’t stop there.

Tops Towing arrived with one of their rotator trucks to straighten the department’s flagpole, which had been leaning toward the building since the March 2024 tornado.

Both services were provided at no cost to the department or taxpayers.

“This kind of community support means everything,” they said on a social media. “We’re always ready to help when our community needs us, and it’s incredibly heartwarming when that support is returned.”
