Local offices on November ballot

According to the Logan County Board of Elections, the upcoming November 4th General Election will feature 126 elective offices across villages, townships, and school boards.

Important deadlines:

• Candidate petition filing deadline: Wednesday, August 6, by 4:00 p.m.
• Write-in candidate filing deadline: Monday, August 25, by 4:00 p.m.

Positions on the ballot include:

• Council seats: Belle Center, DeGraff, Huntsville, Lakeview, Quincy, Ridgeway, Rushsylvania, Russells Point, Valley-Hi, West Liberty, West Mansfield, Zanesfield
• Mayoral & Trustee of Public Affairs seats: Russells Point, Rushsylvania, West Liberty
• Township trustees & fiscal officers: All Logan County townships
• School board seats: Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, Riverside, West Liberty-Salem, and others across surrounding counties
• Midwest Regional ESC: Several full and unexpired term seats

• Forms and signature requirements:
  • Village Offices: Form 3-O, 10 valid signatures (max 30)
  • Township Offices: Form 3-R, 25 valid signatures (max 75)
  • School boards: Form 3-T, 25 valid signatures (max 75)
  • Midwest ESC: Form 3-W, 50 valid signatures (max 150)
• Filing fee: $30 (cash or check)

Candidates must file at the correct county board of elections based on the district they seek to represent.

Most Logan County candidates will file at the Logan County Board of Elections, 225 South Main Street in Bellefontaine.
