Local Student Sits on ODNR Teen Advisory Council

Benjamin Logan High School student, Winnie Bodin, is actively involved in the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Conservation Teen Advisory Council (conTAC) program.

ODNR conTAC is a unique initiative providing high school student-leaders across Ohio with a platform to collaborate and contribute ideas aimed at enhancing ODNR’s youth outreach and program efforts.

The program brings together students passionate about natural resource conservation, outdoor outreach, wildlife, and those dedicated to making a positive impact locally and within the state.

Bodin, a dedicated member of conTAC, has taken the lead in planning an upcoming outreach event.

Wednesday at 3:30 PM, Mr. Dwight Wells, a collaborator with Purdue University on Honey Bee research, will be presenting to the Environmental Science Club at Benjamin Logan High School.

After being encouraged by Mr. Reames and Mrs. Stolly, Bodin applied last June to be a member of the ODNR conTAC.

As a sophomore, Winnie stands out as one of seventy students selected from across Ohio for the conTAC Class of 2024.

Remarkably, she is the sole student from Logan County to participate in this prestigious program.
