Several local students were celebrated Tuesday evening as they were inducted into the Wall of Fame at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Bellefontaine.
The Wall of Fame, which hosts up to six students each quarter, recognizes outstanding students from both Bellefontaine City Schools and Calvary Christian School.
Each school selected one student to be honored, with a photo and a summary of their achievements displayed in the restaurant.
The Wall of Fame is a special way to acknowledge students who go above and beyond to make a positive impact on those around them.
Here are the students who were honored this quarter:
- Olivia Cunningham (Bellefontaine Elementary School)
Olivia, a first grader, was recognized for her unwavering commitment to doing the right thing. Known for her hardworking nature, Olivia is always engaged and puts forth her best effort in everything she does. She is kind to her peers and has a positive attitude, brightening up the classroom with her smile.
- Vanna Valencia (Bellefontaine Intermediate School)
Vanna has been a standout leader since the beginning of the school year. A focused and determined student, she tackles challenges with a positive attitude. Vanna’s sweet and calm demeanor creates a ripple effect on those around her, making her a great friend and an ideal team player.
- Mallory Sheldrew (Bellefontaine Middle School)
Mallory, an 8th grader, was nominated for her positive attitude, respectful nature, and strong work ethic. She consistently delivers thoughtful and high-quality assignments, demonstrating what it means to be a true Chieftain.
- Tonya Price (Bellefontaine High School)
Tonya, a freshman, was nominated for her kindness, artwork, and positive attitude. She is always ready with a smile and has gone above and beyond to make her mark at BHS, with her art displayed throughout the school. She is known for her willingness to help others and embodies the Chieftain values of safety, respect, and learning.
- Kelaiah Hermiller (Calvary Christian School, Middle School)
Kelaiah is a kind, soft-spoken servant leader with a talent for art and creativity. She works hard to boost school spirit and help her classmates and teachers, designing beautiful posters and flyers for school events. Her leadership and dedication to inclusion make her a role model at Calvary Middle School.
- Nic James (Calvary Christian School, High School)
Nic, a behind-the-scenes contributor, was honored for his hard work in theater, photography, and event support. Whether running lights for school plays, taking photos, or assisting backstage, Nic always has a positive attitude and selflessly helps wherever needed. His quiet, generous contributions to the school community are greatly appreciated.
The Wall of Fame continues to be a cherished tradition, recognizing students who make a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.
