Students from area high schools shared powerful and personal messages Monday during the Rotary Four-Way Test Speech Contest at Bellefontaine High School.
Five students participated in the contest, each delivering a speech centered on Rotary’s Four-Way Test and how its principles apply to leadership, service, and real-life situations.
The speeches highlighted honesty, fairness, respect, and making choices that benefit others.
Judges used the Rotary District 6670 Four-Way Test Speech Contest Judging Form to score each presentation.
Students were evaluated on their understanding of the Four-Way Test, originality, organization, and delivery, as well as poise, voice, and overall audience engagement.

The top finishers were:
- 1st Place: Greyson Wagner, Benjamin Logan High School senior — $200
- 2nd Place: Jacob Moreland, Bellefontaine High School junior — $150
- 3rd Place: Oliver Morse, Benjamin Logan High School junior — $50
Wagner and Moreland will move on to the district-level contest on February 22, 2026, at noon, hosted at Wright State University.

Rotary’s Four-Way Test asks four simple questions:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to everyone involved?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it benefit everyone involved?
