Local teachers celebrated at Logan County Teacher of the Year Awards

Quest Federal Credit Union held its annual Logan County Teacher of the Year Awards on Friday afternoon at Bella Vino Events & Wine Room, honoring outstanding educators from across the region.

Before the ceremony began, guests enjoyed a meal catered by 600 Downtown featuring fresh pizza, salad, garlic knots, and other favorites.

Quest Federal Credit Union CEO Matt Jennings spoke during the event, thanking educators for the impact they make in local schools and communities each day.

The 2026 Teachers of the Year were announced as follows:

  • Kevin Butler — Benjamin Logan Middle School
  • Jennifer Wylie — Calvary Christian
  • Ben Brockway — Ohio Hi-Point
  • Julie Grider — Indian Lake Local Schools
  • Ellie Johnson — Riverside Local Schools
  • Andy Cotrell — West Liberty-Salem Local Schools

Heartfelt words from each teacher’s nomination were read aloud during the ceremony, highlighting the impact they make both inside and outside the classroom.

The educators were recognized for their passion for teaching, dedication to students, leadership, compassion, and the positive difference they make in their schools every day.

Each honoree received a personalized glass plaque, a box of chocolates, and a special gift card for personal use.
