A community-driven effort is underway to bring a children’s museum to Logan County, creating a space where kids can learn, explore, and grow through play.
The LoCo Kids Imaginarium is built on a mission to empower every child to explore, create, and thrive with confidence, curiosity, and joy. The vision behind the project is to build a community where God’s love shines through play and connection, helping children grow in confidence and creativity while uplifting families for generations to come.
Organizers say the museum will be more than just a place for fun — it will be a vibrant community hub where families can connect, learn, and experience the joy of discovery together.
“Our goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive space for children of all backgrounds and abilities,” said Jordan McBride, director of LoCo Kids Imaginarium. “Through hands-on experiences and play-based learning, we want to nurture social, emotional, and cognitive development while encouraging kids to grow with confidence and imagination.”
McBride joined News Director, April King, on Sunday morning for Listen Up! on 98.3 WPKO.

The organization is rooted in three core values: collaboration, community, and faith.
Leaders say lasting change happens when people work together, which is why LoCo Kids Imaginarium partners with families, educators, organizations, and community leaders to build programs that multiply impact.
At the heart of the project is a commitment to community, creating spaces of belonging, connection, and support where every child and family feels seen and valued.
Faith also plays a central role in the organization’s mission.
Guided by biblical principles of hope, compassion, and stewardship, the group aims to be a source of encouragement and renewal for families throughout the county.
McBride, a Logan County native and 2008 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, returned home in 2022 after spending several years in Columbus with her husband, Ben, and their three children — Leighton, Evie, and Luca, who now attend Benjamin Logan.
She brings more than a decade of experience as a real estate agent and a passion for design, renovation, and community development.
“Logan County is a wonderful place to raise a family,” McBride said. “A children’s museum will give our community a space where kids can dream, explore, and discover — and where families can build lasting memories together.”
Organizers say the LoCo Kids Imaginarium will provide hands-on learning experiences that spark creativity and imagination, helping children develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
