Drivers in Logan County should expect some temporary traffic restrictions as road resurfacing work gets underway this week.
The Logan County Engineer’s Office announced that The Shelly Company is scheduled to begin resurfacing County Road 118 on Friday.
The project will cover the stretch of County Road 118 between County Road 9 and County Road 20.
Construction crews will be working daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
During those hours, the roadway will remain open only to local traffic and emergency vehicles.
Through traffic will not be permitted.
Officials are urging motorists to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
Drivers may encounter unmarked no-passing zones, roadway edge drop-offs, and temporary pavement transitions near intersections and bridges.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down to 15 miles per hour or less when approaching these areas.
Additional berming work is also scheduled as part of the project.
Crews plan to complete berming on County Road 235 and County Road 235A on Monday, followed by berming on County Road 118.
All work remains dependent on weather conditions.
The Logan County Engineer’s Office thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during the construction project and apologizes for any inconvenience.
