Logan County Sheriff’s deputies investigated two separate crashes Monday, with no injuries reported in either incident.
The first crash happened around 8:15 AM on the U.S. Route 33 exit ramp to State Route 292.
A 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 73-year-old Ruth Kueterman of DeGraff was traveling on U.S. Route 33 and approaching the exit ramp when she drove off the right side of the roadway.
The Jeep struck a sign and a light pole before coming to rest on the east side of State Route 292 on the ramp.
Kueterman was not injured and was cited for failure to control.
The vehicle sustained functional damage.
The second crash was reported at 4:18 PM on U.S. Route 68, north of Bellefontaine.
A 2012 Chevrolet Traverse driven by 64-year-old Kathy Putt of Bellefontaine was traveling northbound and stopped to turn west into a parking lot when it was rear-ended by a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 42-year-old Justin Gildow, also of Bellefontaine.
Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Gildow was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
