Logan County drivers advised of road closures and construction work

The Ohio Department of Transportation is alerting motorists to several road closures and lane restrictions that will impact travel throughout Logan County in the coming weeks.

All construction is weather permitting.

New Impacts

A closure on State Route 235 in the Village of Lakeview is set to begin Monday, March 30, and continue through Friday, April 3.

The roadway will be closed between U.S. 33 and Oak Street as crews work on waterline improvements.

Detour: U.S. 33 to State Route 720.

Continuing Impacts

State Route 287 remains closed between County Road 28 and State Route 559 through Friday, April 17.

Crews are replacing several culverts along that stretch.

Detour: State Route 507 to State Route 245 to State Route 559.

Upcoming Impacts

Additional projects are scheduled to begin in early April and continue into the summer months:

  • County Road 55 Bridge Closure: The bridge over U.S. 33 will close for 30 days starting Monday, April 6, for joint replacement work.
    Detour: Township Road 55 to County Road 10.
  • U.S. 33 Lane Restrictions: Beginning April 6 through early May 2026, traffic will be reduced to a single lane at the State Route 55 bridge between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for overhead bridge repairs.
  • State Route 235 Lane Restrictions: From May 4 through July, traffic between State Route 720 and the Hardin/Logan County line will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. for repaving work. Flaggers will direct traffic.
  • State Route 274 Lane Restrictions: Similar lane reductions are planned from May 4 through July between the Rushsylvania corporation limits and State Route 273 for resurfacing.
  • State Route 366 Lane Restrictions: From May 4 through July, lane restrictions will be in place between State Route 235 and U.S. 33 for repaving.
  • State Route 366 Closure: The Village of Lakeview will close State Route 366 for a festival from Saturday, August 22, through Sunday, August 23. Drivers should follow posted local detours.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution when traveling through work zones.
