Motorists in Logan County will encounter several new traffic impacts this week as construction season continues across the area.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says a section of State Route 559 between North Street and County Road 44 will close Monday through June 12 for a culvert replacement project.

Drivers will be detoured using State Route 245, State Route 287, and back to State Route 559.

Another major impact begins Tuesday when State Route 274 between U.S. 33 and State Route 117 and State Route 235 closes for approximately 150 days.

The long-term closure is needed for the construction of the new roundabout at the State Route 274 and U.S. 33 intersection.

Drivers will be directed around the closure using State Route 235, State Route 708, U.S. 33, and State Route 117.

In addition, U.S. 33 between State Route 117 and Township Road 99 will be reduced by lane restrictions from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, while crews install barriers as part of the roundabout project.

Several ongoing paving projects will also continue throughout the county.

Drivers should expect intermittent single-lane traffic controlled by flaggers on portions of State Routes 235, 366, 117, 245, 287, and 638.

Most of those projects are expected to continue through August, while work on State Routes 235, 274, and 366 is scheduled to continue through July 2026.

ODOT reminds motorists to slow down in work zones, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time when traveling through construction areas.

All work is weather permitting.
