Judging for the Logan County Fair Open Classes for quilting and needlework was held Friday, July 10, at the fairgrounds.

Projects will be on display at the fair all week in the Blue Building.

Quilters entered their projects in one of four divisions based on how the project was quilted. Entrants faced stiff competition with over 120 projects entered.

Quilts were judged by Lisa Schreck and Michelle Lutz on qualities such as overall appearance, creativity, design, piecing, and finishing.

Final review selected a Best of Show and Reserve Best of Show for each division from all first place finishers.

Cash awards for all Best of Show and Reserve items are sponsored by the Logan Piecemakers Quilt Guild.

In Division One, hand quilting, Anita Stanley received both Best of Show and Reserve Best of Show.

In Division Two, hand guided quilting on any machine, Yvonne Siler received both Best of Show and Reserve Best of Show.

In Division Three, computer-guided quilting, Deb Shellhass received Best of Show, and Teresa Morris received Reserve Best of Show.

In Division Four, other quilted items, Yvonne Siler received Best of Show, and Jodie Kavanagh received Reserve Best of Show.
