Before you know it, it’ll be time for the Logan County Fair.
The sights and smells are delightful and there’s nothing quite like catching up with people from the community.
The Logan County Agricultural Society is seeking Open Class participants.
Open Class is open to Logan County residents and to counties whose fairs are open to Logan County Residents.
Entries may be made in the Fair Office from June 3 to June 15, 2024, from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 12 pm Saturday. They can also be mailed to Logan County Fair, PO Box 758, Bellefontaine, OH 43311
Open Class exhibitors will:
- Purchase a $25 exhibitor Pass. This pass provides daily admission. It does not include parking.
- Static, non-livestock entries will pay a $5 entry fee per Department. There is no limit on the number of classes in each department.
- Goat entries, in addition to the exhibitor pass, will pay $3 per head.

Release time is Sunday, July 14th, 1-3 pm. Exhibits should follow specific department guidelines.
Open class premiums can be picked up on Sunday from 1-3 pm in the fair office. All premiums must be picked up at the fairgrounds. If not picked up by August 1, 2024, the premium money will be returned to the general fund.
A Home Goods auction will be held at 6:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 10. Refer to the individual schedule for details. A portion of auction money is retained by the Logan County Fair for operating expenses: Adults 35%, Youth 25%.

- Dept. 014—Flowers
- Dept. 015—Fine Arts
All exhibits must be owned by the exhibitor or a minor member of the family. State health laws must apply to livestock.
ENTRY FEES: All exhibitors must purchase a $25 season ticket and pay $5 per department in which exhibiting unless otherwise stated. All entries must be made, and fees paid by 12 noon, Saturday, June 15, 2024. All entries received by the Fair Office are final. Entry tags will be issued to non-livestock exhibitors and should be attached to the article when brought into the fair. Entry tags may be picked up in the office on July 5 and July 6. No entry shall compete for more than one premium except Junior Fair entries.
All static exhibits must be in place by 9 pm. July 6, 2024, unless otherwise noted. Release of Open Class exhibitions should follow specific department guidelines.
The Agricultural Society/open class departments will contract judges based on prearranged compensation of services. No person will be allowed to interfere with a judge during the competition. All Open Class judging is open to the public.
The judge should award only one premium/placement which may be 2nd or 3rd when there is only one entry in a class. In all cases, the judge will use discretion in determining the level of the award.
The Agricultural Society will take every precaution for the safekeeping of entries after their arrival on the fairgrounds, but will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. The Society will not be responsible for any accident involving any person, animal, or article, on the fairgrounds.
Items necessary to care for or display an exhibit is the responsibility of the exhibitor. No exhibitor can demonstrate their product in such a way as to hinder the demonstration of products of others.
No person except the directors of the Society shall see or be informed of the number or kind of entries made before the closing date of entries.
Every effort is made in the preparation of the premium list for the Logan County Fair but no liability is assumed by the Society for any error.
Complaints, protests, and objections should be presented to the Open Class Coordinator in writing and signed and dated by the accuser within 24 hours of the occurrence.
Rule Violations may result in the loss of award(s) and/or premium(s).
The process in which a violation may be investigated could include; questioning the parties involved by department leadership and/or the executive committee of the ag society board of directors. If it is felt an attempt to defraud the Society or a rule violated, the violator will receive written notice of the infraction and penalty determined. The board reserves the right to withdraw or withhold, for good cause, any premium awarded.
