The Logan County Fair is set to kick off this Sunday and its tradition to hold the royalty contest just after opening ceremonies.
You can catch the contest Sunday at 5:15 PM in the show barn.
The lone runner for the 2023 Logan County Fair Queen is Shyanne McClintick, daughter of Daric & Shannon McClintick of Cable. Shyanne will be a Junior at West Liberty-Salem this fall and is a member of the Riverside Hustlers 4-H Club. Shyanne is also active in FFA, Junior Fair Board, and cheerleading.
The ladies running for the 2023 Logan County Fair Princess are:
- Kayley Knox, daughter of Alicia & John Knox of Belle Center.
- Nahla Payne, daughter of Angel & Jeremy Payne of Belle Center.
- Savannah McClintick, daughter of Daric & Shannon McClintick of Cable.
- Brylee Buyer, daughter of Ashley Roseburrogh & Bryon Buyer of West Mansfield.
- Ealise Simpson-Cruz, daughter of Weika Narcizo of Huntsville.
There are no contestants for the 2023 Logan County Fair Prince or King.
Two judges will be on staff this year. Alice Weygandt was raised in Toledo, Ohio where she earned her bachelor’s in Social Work. Alice is the school counselor at Indian Lake High School and likes to work out and read books in her spare time. Ashley Gantz grew up right here in Logan County and knows all about 4-H as she showed cows growing up. Ashley works at Select Sires.
Katie Krabill, contest coordinator says, “This is my last year as the coordinator, as I am stepping away after 10 years…Maybe someone with new blood will help the program grow and flourish. I have loved watching girls who were once Fair Princesses become Fair Queens!”
