Buckle up or get pulled over — that’s the message from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement as they kick off the Click It or Ticket campaign, running now through June 1.
With Memorial Day weekend marking the unofficial start of summer, officers are stepping up patrols to keep roads safe during one of the busiest travel times of the year.
You’ll see more deputies out on the roads, watching not just for seatbelt use but also for drunk driving and aggressive behavior behind the wheel.
“Safety is our top priority,” Sheriff Randy Dodds said. “This is our first big holiday weekend of the summer, and we’re expecting more traffic than usual.”
So far in 2025, Logan County has seen one fatal crash — and authorities are hoping that’s the last.
The increased enforcement effort is part of a national push to save lives and reduce crashes during peak travel times.
Drivers are urged to make smart choices: wear your seatbelt, don’t drive under the influence, and take your time.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office wrapped up their message with a simple reminder: “Drive safe, stay sober, and enjoy your Memorial Day weekend.”
