Residents in Logan County looking for addiction recovery support, peer encouragement, or family assistance have several meeting opportunities available throughout the week.
Meetings are held in Bellefontaine, Russells Point, Lakeview, and West Liberty and include Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Christian recovery groups, and peer support meetings.
Several of the Christian recovery meetings are part of the Life Recovery program, described as “New Life Recovery Groups for Lasting Freedom.”
The groups are structured communities that work through a 12-step framework anchored in Scripture to address a wide range of addictive and compulsive behaviors, including substance abuse, sexual addiction and pornography, food addiction and eating disorders, gambling and shopping addictions, codependency, depression, anxiety, and emotional strongholds.
Jeff Stillings sat down with News Director April King on Sunday morning on 98.3 WPKO for Listen Up! and talked more about the Life Recovery group that meets at West Liberty First Church of God:
