Monday night, the Logan County Republicans held their annual fall dinner at Winner’s Harvest Barn just outside of DeGraff.
The featured speaker was Ohio Treasurer Robert Sprague, who is running for Secretary of State next year.
Sprague spoke about his goals for the office and his vision for Ohio.
Sprague became Ohio’s 49th Treasurer of State in 2019.
As Treasurer, he oversees the state’s investments, manages cash flows, and leads programs like ResultsOHIO, Ag-LINK, and STABLE Accounts.
A native of Findlay, Sprague also served in the Ohio House of Representatives and in local government before becoming Treasurer.

Ohio Supreme Court Justice Dan Hawkins also briefly addressed the crowd, thanking them for their continued support.
Elected in November 2024, Justice Hawkins previously served as a trial prosecutor and as a judge in Franklin County courts, and is the 164th justice of the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Several students from Riverside, West Liberty-Salem, and Calvary Christian Schools attended the event.

At the close of the dinner, Bellefontaine Mayor Dave Crissman gave a proclamation honoring outgoing council members Deb Baker and John Aler, who will wrap up their positions at the end of the year.

The dinner brought together local party members for an evening of discussion, networking, and updates on the upcoming election season.
