On Sunday evening, the Logan County Republican Party gathered for their Fall Rally at Winner Harvest Barn, just outside DeGraff.

The event was opened with a welcome, invocation, pledge, and National Anthem sung by Gina Campbell, Ohio Central Committee Representative.

Logan County Engineer, Scott Coleman

The primary focus of the gathering was to rally support against Issue 1, with attendees unanimously agreeing on the need to vote “NO.”

Ohio Senator Matt Huffman addressed the crowd, highlighting the negative impacts of Issue 1, particularly the potential for splitting Logan County into more districts than the current two.

Huffman emphasized that such changes could create confusion and dilute representation for local residents:

Echoing Huffman’s sentiments, Alex Triantifilou, Ohio Republican Party Chairman, also spoke out against the issue, reinforcing concerns about its implications for the community.

The evening featured a keynote address from Bernie Moreno, Ohio State Senate Candidate, who discussed the importance of early voting and encouraged community members to engage in the electoral process.

The rally underscored a united front among local Republicans as they prepare for the upcoming election season, and was wrapped up by encouragement to get out and vote early.
