The Logan County Engineer’s Office will be performing chip seal maintenance this week.
Work is scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both days, weather permitting, with no overnight closures planned.
Monday, crews will work on County Road 65 from State Route 508 to the DeGraff corporation limits.
This roadway will be closed to through traffic during the work, but local and emergency vehicles will be allowed through with the help of flaggers.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and drive with caution in work zones.
Loose gravel will be present for several days after the application, and the treated sections will remain unmarked no-passing zones until fall.
For safety and proper road surface curing, drivers are asked to keep speeds below 20 mph on the day of application and under 30 mph for the following week.
