Logan County road construction update: Upcoming closures and lane restrictions

Several construction projects are set to impact state highways across Logan County in the coming weeks and months.

All work is weather-dependent.

Continuing Impacts:

  • State Route 287 Closure: State Route 287 between County Road 28 and State Route 559 will remain closed through Friday, April 17, while crews replace multiple culverts.
    Detour: State Route 507 → State Route 245 → State Route 559

Upcoming Impacts:

  • State Route 235 Closure: In the village of Lakeview, State Route 235 between US 33 and Oak Street will be closed from Monday, March 30, through Friday, April 3, for waterline work.
    Detour: US 33 → State Route 720
  • County Road 55 Bridge Closure: The bridge on County Road 55 over US 33 will be closed for 30 days starting Monday, April 6 for joint replacements.
    Detour: Township Road 55 → County Road 10
  • US 33 Lane Restrictions: US 33 will be reduced to a single lane intermittently at the State Route 55 bridge from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., starting Monday, April 6, through early May for overhead bridge joint replacement.
  • State Route 235, State Route 274, and State Route 366 Lane Restrictions:
    • State Route 235 between State Route 720 and the Hardin/Logan County Line, State Route 274 between Rushylvania and State Route 273, and State Route 366 between State Route 235 and US 33 will see intermittent single-lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., starting Monday, May 4, through July, as crews repave the roadways. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow posted detours and lane restrictions.
