Drivers in Logan County should plan ahead for several road projects set to impact travel in the coming weeks, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
All work is weather permitting.
A current closure remains in place on State Route 287 between County Road 28 and State Route 559, where crews are replacing culverts.
That stretch is expected to stay closed through April 17.
Drivers are being detoured via State Route 507, State Route 245, and State Route 559.
Looking ahead, multiple projects will begin next Monday, April 13th.
State Route 117 will be reduced to one lane between the Hardin/Logan County line and State Route 274 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through August, with flaggers directing traffic as crews repave the road.
Also starting April 13, similar single-lane restrictions will be in place on several other routes, including State Route 245 between West Liberty and the Champaign County line, State Route 287 between State Route 245 and U.S. 33, and State Route 638 between U.S. 68 and Township Road 51.
All of those projects are expected to continue through August.
A bridge closure will impact County Road 55 beginning April 15.
The bridge over U.S. 33 will be closed for 30 days, with a posted detour using Township Road 55 and County Road 10.
At the same time, drivers on U.S. 33 should expect intermittent lane restrictions near the State Route 55 bridge from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through mid-May as crews work on bridge joints.
Additional resurfacing projects are scheduled to begin May 4.
State Route 235, State Route 274, and State Route 366 will all be reduced to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. through July, with traffic maintained by flagging operations.
Finally, motorists in the Lakeview area should note that State Route 366 will be closed August 22 and 23 for a village festival, with local detours posted.
ODOT encourages drivers to stay alert in work zones, watch for crews and equipment, and allow extra travel time.
