London Police say they arrested Devin Walborn, 30, of Bellefontaine, earlier this week, after executing a search warrant in the city.

When officers knocked on the door of an apartment on Daines Court, they heard movement inside but got no response.

They forced the door open and called out to Walborn, using a police dog to search the upstairs area.

During the search, officers found an attic access in a child’s bedroom with fresh drywall dust, indicating recent activity.

They used less-lethal pepper ball rounds to try to get Walborn to come out, but he stayed hidden.

An officer then went into the attic and saw Walborn in a small space at the top of the attic ridge.

Walborn eventually moved to the attic of the neighboring apartment.

Officers gained access to that unit and found him hiding in the corner of the attic.

He was taken into custody without incident.

Walborn, a registered sex offender in Logan County, is currently non-compliant with registration requirements.

He is now being held at Tri-County Jail, awaiting court next week.
