Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds proudly celebrated the graduation of nearly 20 citizens from the Behind The Badge Citizen’s Sheriff Academy on Thursday night.
The program, aimed at enhancing community understanding of law enforcement operations, has been running for several weeks and concluded with a ceremony honoring the participants.
The group enjoyed a meal together prepared by Vics Country Cookin’ and fellowshipped before receiving certificates, a challenge coin, and a Behind the Badge polo shirt.
Sheriff Dodds emphasized the importance of transparency in law enforcement during the event:
Participants engaged in various activities, including up coming ride-alongs, Muncipal Court proceedings, and hands-on demonstrations, to gain insight into the daily workings of the sheriff’s office.
The next Behind The Badge class is set to begin in the spring of 2025, offering more residents the opportunity to learn about their local law enforcement agency.
