The Logan County Veterans Service Office is reminding local veterans and their families that a variety of programs and services are available to help those who have served our country.

Located in Memorial Hall at 121 South Opera Street in Bellefontaine, the office assists eligible veterans and their dependents with accessing federal, state, and local benefits while also providing emergency assistance when needed.

Among the services offered are emergency financial assistance for qualifying veterans, including help with rent, utilities, food, fuel, prescriptions, and clothing. Veterans must meet eligibility requirements, including residency, income guidelines, and discharge status.

The office also provides free transportation to Veterans Affairs medical appointments, including trips to the Dayton and Columbus VA Medical Centers and affiliated outpatient clinics.
