Benjamin Logan High School Science Teacher Mr. Spencer Reames was presented with a scholarship of $27,660 dollars to be put down in his name.

Mr. Reames has 55+ years of service to the Benjamin Logan community, bringing the knowledge of science to an uncountable amount of students throughout the over half a century he’s taught.

Wednesday Evening, a gathering was booked for the celebration of this achievement at Kirkmont Center, outside of Zanesfield.

Many were in attendance for the support of the long-time educator.

This event was organized by Benjamin Logan’s very own Sally Stolly as a surprise for Reames and his family.

Spencer Reames’ son Aaron, spoke of several opportunities that his father presented to him, has presented to many students, and continues to provide for students to this day.

While sharing a chuckle from going to little experiments in grade school, to solving major problems like curing diseases, Aaron Reames has been born in bred in the world of science, to become a successful scientist today.

Mr. Spencer Reames himself, invoked his own thankfulness that he was able to provide such an opportunity to come for so many students in the future, and for his education legacy to live on.

Reames exclaimed: “Not only being able to influence the students I have now but be influencing students going on.”

The smiles that were shared Wednesday prove the lasting impact that Reames has on the Logan County Community.

If you would like to contribute to the scholarship fund, checks can be written to LCEF and mailed to The Spencer Reames Scholarship, 1973 State Route 47 West, Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
