A 38-year-old man was arrested early Sunday morning after repeatedly entering a Bellefontaine residence without permission, prompting multiple police responses.
Kenneth Wilkinson was taken into custody by Bellefontaine Police after officers were called three separate times to a home in the 400 block of North Madriver Street.
According to police reports, Wilkinson had previously lived at the residence but was no longer on the lease.
The current occupant contacted authorities around 1:30 AM after finding Wilkinson inside the home, frightening a babysitter who had been caring for children.
When officers arrived, they saw Wilkinson inside the home.
He initially refused to answer the door but eventually opened it and claimed he had permission to be there.
The homeowner, however, informed officers that Wilkinson was no longer allowed on the property.
Police asked Wilkinson to leave, and no charges were filed at the time.
Approximately an hour later, police were called again after Wilkinson returned to the property.
He was warned a second time to stay away.
A third call came around an hour later when Wilkinson entered the home again.
Officers arrested him for persistent disorderly conduct and transported him to the Logan County Jail.
He is also facing a burglary charge related to the repeated unlawful entries.
