On Tuesday evening, Bellefontaine Police responded to a call about a man with a gun threatening to shoot and kill a police officer at a home on the 100 block of West Brown Avenue.
The caller identified the suspect as Lance Bailey, 35, of Bellefontaine.
When officers arrived nearby, they saw Bailey enter a home on North Detroit Street.
After securing the area, Bailey approached the front door, and officers called him out at gunpoint.
Bailey was read his rights and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle.
He admitted to being upset and firing a BB gun inside his house, then told officers where the gun was, and it was secured by law enforcement.
