On Thursday, just before 6 p.m., Russells Point Police stopped a vehicle going 68 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone.
During the stop, police identified the driver as 43-year-old Victor Herrero Medina.
Officers reported a strong smell of alcoholic beverages coming from Herrero Medina and found an open bottle of alcohol in a cooler bag on the passenger seat.
Herrero Medina then failed several field sobriety tests.
He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
This marks Herrero Medina’s third OVI since 2013.
Medina is now facing charges for OVI, speeding, and driving without a valid license.
