A West Mansfield man drove his vehicle into his own home Saturday evening in Logan County, authorities say.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, shortly before 7:00 p.m., James Rice, 62, of West Mansfield, was driving a 2018 Volvo northbound on County Road 131 when he drove off the right side of the roadway, went through a fence, and struck his house.
Rice, who owns the home, was not injured in the crash.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
He was cited for failure to control.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol and speed were not factors in the crash.
