Deputies were called to a home on the 2000 block of County Road 29 early Friday morning after a domestic dispute.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, a woman reported that Shannon Ervin, 45, of Bellefontaine, had refused to lower the loud music, called her “worthless,” and threatened her.
In her statement, she claimed Ervin had threatened to burn the house down, shoot family members, and confront law enforcement.
She said she was worried about her mother and siblings, saying she had only lived in the residence for a month and was concerned that speaking to Ervin could escalate the situation.
Upon deputies’ arrival, Ervin was found in bed with a beer in hand and denied any wrongdoing.
However, after speaking with additional members of the household, law enforcement learned of more threats allegedly made by Ervin, including using a bow and arrow, tampering with brakes, and setting the house on fire.
An additional victim told law enforcement she was worried about her safety and the safety of children in the home.
Ervin was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he faces charges of domestic violence and a probation violation.
