Man wanted in Hardin County case arrested in Russells Point

Logan County law enforcement agencies worked together Tuesday evening to arrest Austin Clem, 18, of Bellefontaine.

Shorlty after 8:00 PM,  officers were asked by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office to be on the lookout for Clem who was wanted in connection with an active criminal investigation.

Officers found located Clem’s vehicle outside an apartment complex on Lincoln Boulevard in Russells Point.

Washington Township Police, along with Logan County Sheriff’s Office deputies and detectives, quickly set up a perimeter around the apartment where Clem was believed to be.

Using a drone operated by Washington Township Police, officers monitored the area safely until Hardin County detectives arrived.

Once on scene, deputies were able to take Clem into custody.

He was transported to jail and charged with criminal trespass.

Authorities say he had previously been banned from the property.

Detectives from Hardin County were able to collect evidence from the scene as they continue their investigation.
