Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle accident Sunday night just after 10 PM.
Elvis Adkins, 35, of Bellefontaine was Eastbound on County Road 43 when he went off the right side of the road, striking a culvert and utility pole.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage.
Emergency crews had to cut Adkins from his Nissan, using mechanical means.
Adkins was transported to the Mary Rutan Hospital by the Indian Lake EMS, where he passed away from injuries.
Marijuana is a suspected factor in the crash.
