Applications are now open for the 2025-2026 Mary Rutan Foundation Community Wellness Grant Program, which will focus on youth mental health and youth healthy living.

The program aims to build community partnerships that promote healthier lifestyles and address health-related risks in Logan County.

Mental health has consistently ranked among the county’s highest priorities in Community Health Assessments, while survey results also highlight obesity and healthy lifestyle choices as significant concerns.

To address these needs, the foundation is accepting grant requests ranging from $500 to $5,000 during this cycle.

“Mary Rutan Foundation is committed to the health and well-being of the communities we serve, especially that of our youth,” said Tammy Gump, foundation chief operating officer. “We believe we can be most successful through community partnerships focused on targeted initiatives. Area schools and 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are invited to join us in our pursuit of a healthier Logan County.”

Applications must be submitted electronically by midnight on October 8, 2025, at maryrutan.org.

Since its launch in 2014, the Community Wellness Grant program has awarded nearly $490,000 to local partners working on health and wellness initiatives, many of which continue today through new partnerships and funding sources.
