A Marysville man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly driving drunk and then becoming aggressive with a sheriff’s deputy during a roadside stop in Champaign County.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies had received a report about a possibly intoxicated driver in the area at 4:13 p.m.
48-year-old Joseph Seamure was pulled over and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. During the encounter, he allegedly became combative and tried to fight the deputy. He was quickly taken into custody.
Seamure was charged with driving under the influence, driving under a suspended license, and disorderly conduct.
He was booked into the Tri-County Regional Jail.
No one was injured, and no property was damaged.
