Bellefontaine Mayor Dave Crissman took to the podium at the Rotary Club’s weekly noon meeting Monday to reflect on his first year in office and share an update on the city’s progress and development.

The mayor spoke about the growth and changes the city has seen over the past year, talking about several projects and future plans.

Crissman talks about what the city is about to see and how they will prepare for the growth:

The mayor said the city is seeing growth coming to the area as people hope to move to the area, away from bigger cities.

Among the topics discussed, Crissman mentioned several ongoing and upcoming park revitalization projects within the city, including the replacement of the city pool at the end of the 2026 season.

Crissman also touched on a grassroots project to improve the park at Oakland Square.

The group hopes to install new sidewalks in the area and add other new features.

Looking ahead, Mayor Crissman said more exciting developments are on the horizon.
