Mayor surprises Duff with key to city

In a surprise ceremony Tuesday afternoon, Mayor David Crissman presented Jason Duff, founder of Small Nation, with the key to the City of Bellefontaine, recognizing his efforts to revitalize the downtown area.

Duff, a fourth-generation entrepreneur, has spent the past several years working to transform Bellefontaine’s downtown area through Small Nation, his company dedicated to developing places, spaces, and opportunities for small towns and local entrepreneurs.

Using his “Hustle Hard” approach, Duff and his team have renovated historic buildings, launched new businesses, and created jobs.

They have also added loft apartments to the heart of the city.

Small Nation’s efforts extend beyond real estate.

Duff has partnered in launching multiple restaurants that anchor Bellefontaine’s downtown, including Six Hundred Downtown Brick Oven Pizzeria, Brewfontaine, and Bella Vino Events & Wine Room.
