Mechanicsburg BOE honors spring athletes, FFA students

The Mechanicsburg Exempted Village Board of Education met in regular session on Monday evening.

The main highlight of the meeting was the honoring of high school students with accolades in 2024-2025 spring sports, as well as students who saw great success in livestock and agricultural fair awards.

The board also approves the overnight travel for the FFA’s Chapter to attend the Big E. National Dairy Judging Competition in Springfield, Massachusetts. The event will be held on Saturday, September 13.

Superintendent Danielle Prohaska spoke on what it means to honor the students and gave more details on the start of the school year.
