What started as a trip to represent Ohio on the national stage has turned into an unforgettable experience for Mechanicsburg’s Hannah Bailey.
After competing at the 2026 Universal Miss National Pageant in Allen, Texas, Bailey was named one of the Top 11 contestants in the nation, an honor awarded from a field of competitors representing states across the country. The pageant does not announce individual placements beyond the Top 11.
As if that accomplishment wasn’t enough, Bailey was also selected as one of only five contestants nationwide to model for Krissy King Couture during New York Fashion Week. The opportunity also includes a professional photo shoot in New York City.
Throughout the week, Bailey competed in several categories, including formal wear, open fashion, interview, and personal introduction. Contestants were evaluated on stage presence, confidence, poise, personality, communication skills, and their ability to represent themselves both on and off the stage.
The recognition is the latest achievement for Bailey, who earned the title of Universal Miss Ohio Teen earlier this year. During her reign, she has represented Ohio while promoting community service, youth leadership, and agricultural education.
Friends, family, and supporters say Bailey represented not only Ohio, but also Champaign County and her hometown of Mechanicsburg with grace, confidence, and humility.
Following her national success, Bailey will now begin preparing for New York Fashion Week while continuing her work as a community ambassador. She is also available for community appearances, speaking engagements, and local events as she shares her experiences and encourages other young people to pursue their goals with confidence.
For Bailey, the national pageant was more than a competition—it was an opportunity to showcase the values of her community while opening the door to exciting opportunities on one of fashion’s biggest stages.
