The Mental Health, Drug & Alcohol Services Board of Logan and Champaign Counties works to make sure residents have access to quality behavioral health care.
Established under Ohio law, the Board plans, funds, and evaluates mental health, alcohol, and drug addiction services for the community.
The Board focuses on providing the right care by regularly assessing local behavioral health needs.
This includes surveys, feedback from clients, and partnerships with community leaders and organizations to stay on top of trends in Logan and Champaign Counties.
While the Board doesn’t provide direct clinical care, it contracts with certified provider agencies to offer a full range of services, funded through federal and state dollars and local levies.
Cecilia Yelton, Director of Prevention, sat down for a chat with News Director April King about their services and what they are doing in the community:
Finally, the Board ensures that services are accessible, appropriate, and respectful for everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
They advocate for clients to make sure their rights are protected and that they are informed about the care they receive.
