West Liberty-Salem High School has announced its November Seniors of the Month, Levi Miller and Tori Douthwaite.
Levi Miller is the son of James and Sheena Miller.
School Activities and Awards: I am involved in Cross Country, National Honor Society, Link Crew, Quick Recall, and Chess Club. I have received Highest Honors Honor Roll
If I were principal for a day: I would have our cafeteria serve free catered Chipotle, and I would have the students have a day full of games and fun activities
Favorite school memory: Being in the student section at games
People who have been an inspiration to me include: Mom, Dad, and Coach Louden
Because: They have taught me a strong work ethic, and they have all been positive role models in my life
Lately, I have been reading: Vaccination articles for Mr. Lynxwiler’s argumentative paper
My advice to parents: Support your kids’ interests, laugh often, and be an open book
My biggest regret: Not taking algebra in my 8th grade year, so I wouldn’t have had to take a math class my senior year
Next year I will be: Enrolled in a 4-year college, majoring in Business Analytics and minoring in Finance.
Tori Douthwaite is the daughter of Jason and Jennifer Douthwaite.
School Activities and Awards: Activities are Leadership Council, Link Crew, Book Club, Musical, Track and Field, Soccer, and student helper.
Awards are the OHC Sportsmanship award, DAR Good Citizen award, Track Varsity Hustle award, and Academic All-Ohioan.
If I were principal for a day: I would take the whole school on a field trip to Kings Island.
Favorite school memory: Eating every Friday lunch in my mom’s room with my sister and cousin.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My siblings.
Because: They are hardworking people who encourage me to do difficult things rather than take the easy way out. They are also all muscular, which I aspire to be.
Lately, I have been reading: Identity by Nora Roberts
My advice to parents: Encourage them to try new things. Some of my favorite activities I originally thought I would hate.
My biggest regret: Not taking Biology in 8th grade and not doing musical my Freshman year.
Next year I will be: Attending Bowling Green University to study Nursing with the goal of eventually becoming a nurse practitioner.
